Lots of Fun with this today, I have finally finished the printing requirements for my campaign. I have to send through final proofs tomorrow, but registration with the Elections NSW team should be complete by then. At least I am not going to have this finalised in the last minute.
It was interesting that the Returning Officer, Kevin Short, noted that they don't stop people from being able to take civil action against someone else if they approve the material, as they only check for correctness of voting procedures rather than legality. I told him that I was not thinking of criticising anyone, rather just trying to show there can be a better way!
It's funny, but I am not really in favour of watching behind me to see what my competitors are doing, whether in the elections, or in business, I try to keep my eyes in front to see the future and what could be ahead to try and improve.
I hate negativity. There is nothing worse - "you can't do that" - four little words which limit our achievements. I say: "Just try and see, you're dead a long time." In my experience you have to run your own race because your journey will be so different to those of the others around you.
